ABC News: Mr. T Sheds Gold After Katrina Destruction

Yes, it has happened, first Prince looses his symbol, then Tom DeLonge leaves Blink 182, and now…THIS! NO! Sadly this is no joke, the man, the legend, Mr. T “Lawerence Tero” has stopped wearing his gold chains. Mr. T explains “As a spiritual man, I felt it would be a sin against my God for me to
wear all that gold again because I spent a lot of time with the less
fortunate [New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina].”

Mr. T has a god, his own god?! I knew this Chuck Norris obsession would get out of hand. In his defense, he is doing this for a very spiritual, almost philosophical reason, and it really shows of his character for doing so. Mr. T goes on by saying “I saw some, I call it `sorry celebrities.’ They’ll go down there and
hook up with the people to take a photo-op. I said, `How disgusting.’
If you’re not going to go down there with a check and a hammer and a
nail to help the people, don’t go down there.”

So apparently Mr. T is a “happy celebrity.”
